Squadron 42's marketing history spans more than a decade, and its trailers tell the development story better than any article. Every official upload is listed below with verified dates and links — always watch official channels; re-uploads on media channels sometimes outrank them in search but can be edited or mislabeled. The current trailer: The Oath
The Oath — Official Wishlist Trailer (October 10, 2026, 3:34) is the game's current calling card: a cinematic introducing the all-star cast and closing on the planned Q2 2027 window and Steam wishlist call-to-action. It is also embedded on the official site. Media re-uploads (IGN's version drew more views than the original) are the same cut.

What each era shows
- 2012–2015 (the promise). The announcement trailer and Bishop's senate speech established the war framing — Gary Oldman's address to the UEE Senate remains the franchise's most quoted scene.
- 2017–2019 (proof of life). The Vertical Slice is an hour of genuine pre-alpha gameplay — historically important, visually outdated. The 2018 teaser revealed Henry Cavill's casting; the 2019 teaser was a year-in-review reel.
- 2023–2024 (substance). "I Held The Line" marked feature complete with developer interviews and campaign footage; the 2954 reveal is over an hour of actual gameplay (our breakdown).
- 2026 (the launch push). The Oath opens the commercial campaign: cast, window, wishlist.
