Squadron 42 Guide ("we", "the site") is an independent, fan-made reference website. This policy describes what happens to data when you visit — and in most cases, the answer is "nothing, because we don't collect it."

What we collect

We do not require accounts, comments, newsletters, or any user input — the site has no forms and no login. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal information, because there is no mechanism to submit any.

Cookies

The site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The only browser-side storage the site uses is an optional theme preference (light or dark mode) kept in your browser's local storage on your own device. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.

Analytics

No analytics service is enabled. The site does not load Google Analytics or any other measurement script, and we do not build behavioral profiles of visitors.

Server logs

Like essentially all websites, the site is served over infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers) that may process standard request data — such as IP addresses, user agents, and requested URLs — for security, abuse prevention, and delivery. This is handled by the hosting provider under its own policies and is not used by us for profiling or advertising.

Third-party links

The site links to external websites — official Squadron 42/RSI channels, Steam, YouTube, and press outlets. Those sites have their own privacy practices (Steam and YouTube, in particular, set their own cookies once you visit them). This policy covers only Squadron 42 Guide.

Children

The site is a general-audience reference and knowingly collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this changes — for example, if we ever enable analytics — we will update this page and its date above before doing so.

Contact

We do not publish a contact address for this fan project. Questions about the site's practices can be raised through the repository or community channels where you found this site.
